Latin America Representative

Jason started working with DJJ in 2019, where he provides leadership and oversight for promoting and training discipleship to expand the impact of Discipleship Journeys with Jesus in Latin America in his role as the Latin America Representative. Jason enjoys working with relationships: learning and teaching, helping and being helped, making contacts, and sharing them with others.

Jason’s prior experience brings many skills to his role:

• He speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
• Jason graduated in Accounting and postgraduate in Controllership, Finance, and Administrative Health Support and has worked with bookkeeping in the Brazilian Army, church, and professional accounting.
• He was an officer in the Brazilian Army, where he gained experience working with large groups.
• He is the Senior Pastor in the “Sal da Terra” ministry.
  

One of his favorite verses is "for by grace we have been saved through faith, and that not of ourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." (Ephesians 2:8-10)

Jason and his wife, Fabiana, live in Uberlandia, Brazil. They have two adult children, Karine and Walter Hernan.”
